Your Team of Support

Every person on this list is here to support you in any way they can!  All you have to do is ASK!

Upward Bound

Upward Bound is a federally funded program that helps first-generation students (meaning parents did not earn a 4-year degree) develop the skills and motivation necessary to continue onto college.  Through this program, participants receive tutoring,  can be involved in cultural events, get help with college preparation, financial aid, scholarships, and career development.  Check with your counselor to see if you can participate.

Southern Colorado Teacher Education Alliance (SCTEA)

The SCTEA is an alliance between 17 school districts, the Colorado State University - Pueblo, 4 community colleges, and three community organizations.  All of these institutions have come together to improve teacher quality in southeastern Colorado.  The SCTEA supports high school students interested in teaching in a variety of ways.  The SCTEA web site, http://partners.colostate-pueblo.edu/sctea/ft/ftassoc.asp , has a variety of information for the Future Teacher Education Associations including a secure chat & discussion room, the Summer Academy for Future Teachers, Fall & Spring Regional Conferences, and much more!
